Welcome to motherhood

The North Shore Mother Visiting Partnership is a collaborative group of Public Health Nurses on the North Shore. NS MVP invites you to receive a free, one-time home visit from a Public Health Nurse. All services provided by the Public Health Nurse are free and confidential. Visits are available in the communities of Beverly, Danvers, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Manchester, Marblehead, Peabody, Rockport, Salem, Swampscott, and Wenham.

A gift bag filled with essentials like diapers, wipes, and other freebies!

Recommended resources for both parent and baby.

A demonstration of how to perform CPR on an infant.

 

A conversation with a Public Health Nurse about how you are doing and feeling, including a depression and anxiety assessment.

A non-judgemental discussion focused on parent and baby; centering the health of both.

  • Any new parent in the North Shore area, including adoptive parents, grandparents, and those in the postpartum period, regardless of their child's presence.

  • You can schedule a visit by contacting your local PHN calling our office directly or filling out the request a visit form on our website. We will connect you with a nurse in your community.

  • Our services are universal and free of charge, with no insurance information required.

  • Yes! You are eligible for up to one year after giving birth or adopting a baby.

  • A gift bag filled with essentials like diapers, wipes, and other freebies!

  • Nurses are available weekdays, Monday – Friday


  • Not a problem! A mother or parent may have multiple children.


  • Yes, it is absolutely fine if a friend, parent, or spouse to be present with you at the visit.


  • Yes! Our services are completely free of charge. Neither you nor your insurance will ever be billed for our services.
